Meta announced that 1.6 lakh Instagram accounts operating using AI have been blocked in India in the last 6 months.
This action comes after the Central Government sent a notice regarding advertisements promoting child sexual abuse. Meta clarified that it never wishes for inappropriate content to be present on its platforms and will continue to prevent it.
