The Chennai Meteorological Centre has forecast moderate, thundery rain across northern coastal districts, the Western Ghats, Puducherry, and Karaikal today. In commodity markets, peak prices per quintal were recorded as follows: Other paddy reached ₹3,702, RNR paddy ₹3,580, and Ponni paddy ₹2,600. Additionally, groundnut prices hit ₹14,100 per quintal, while black gram was priced at ₹10,702.
