The Tamil Nadu government has unveiled new agricultural initiatives as part of its 2026 budget, allocating 6 crore rupees to promote banana cultivation across 6,000 acres of land.
Additionally, the state announced an 8 crore rupee scheme to support farmers planting mango and guava crops. This initiative aims to bring 3,000 acres of land under new fruit cultivation.
