Tamil Nadu Minister Vinoth has announced a total allocation of Rs 29.20 crore to support and enhance coconut cultivation across the state. During his budget address, the minister revealed plans to establish a coconut processing corporation at an estimated cost of Rs 22 crore.
In addition to the processing facility, the government has earmarked Rs 6.20 crore to provide essential coconut tonic to farmers. Furthermore, Rs 1 crore has been allocated for a dedicated initiative aimed at preventing and managing diseases affecting coconut trees.
