Gold prices in Chennai saw a sharp increase today, with the cost of a sovereign rising by Rs 1,200 to reach Rs 111,200. The price per gram of gold also climbed by Rs 150, now retailing at Rs 13,900. This latest hike contributes to a significant three-day trend, during which the price of a sovereign has jumped by a total of Rs 5,600.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained steady. The metal continues to be sold at Rs 250 per gram, with one kilogram of silver priced at Rs 2.50 lakh.
