The third and final One Day International (ODI) match between Bangladesh and New Zealand was played yesterday in Chattogram.
Batting first, Bangladesh scored 265 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs. Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 105 runs off 119 balls, hitting 2 sixes and 9 fours. Litton Das added 76 runs off 91 balls, including 1 six and 3 fours. For New Zealand, Will O’Rourke took 3 wickets.
Ben Lister and Jayden Lennox picked up 2 wickets each.
Chasing a target of 266 runs, New Zealand were bowled out for 210 runs in 44.5 overs. Dean Foxcroft was the top scorer with 75 runs, while Nick Kelly contributed 59 runs. For Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman took 5 wickets, while Nahid Rana and Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed 2 wickets each.
Bangladesh won the match by 55 runs and clinched the 3-match ODI series 2-1, lifting the trophy. In the first ODI, New Zealand had won by 26 runs, while Bangladesh bounced back in the second ODI with a 6-wicket victory.
