The NEET exam for admission to undergraduate medical courses is being held today across approximately 5,500 centers nationwide. While there are approximately 2 lakh seats in medical courses, 22.80 lakh students are appearing for the exam.
The exam will be conducted in 552 cities across the country, including 30 cities in Tamil Nadu like Chennai, Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur, Trichy, Madurai, Coimbatore, and in 14 locations abroad such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Muscat, Riyadh, and Singapore. Accordingly, the exam is being held in approximately 5,500 centers. A total of 720 marks are awarded, with 4 marks for each question. One mark (negative) will be deducted for each incorrect answer. NTA plans to release the NEET exam results next month.
