The Tamil Nadu government has established a special committee to draft regulations for providing paid menstrual leave to working women. The state informed the Madras High Court that it is actively working on these measures, which are intended to cover employees in the private sector as well.
Government representatives requested a two-week period to study existing policies in other states and submit a formal report. In response, the Madurai bench of the High Court has directed the state to provide full details regarding the committee members appointed to oversee this initiative.
