TVK leadership alleged that the DMK is acting as if the Mekedatu issue only emerged after May 10, 2026, and asserted that their party would never compromise on matters affecting the welfare of the state's people.
Furthermore, the TVK leadership criticized the DMK's past governance, stating that if the party had acted more proactively while in power, the public would not have rejected them. The party reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the rights of Tamil Nadu against any external threats.
