Premalatha Vijayakanth Condemns Udhayanidhi Stalin's Arrest

DMDK General Secretary Premalatha Vijayakanth has strongly condemned the arrest of Leader of the Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin. She described the move as an attempt to suppress opposition parties and labeled such actions as highly condemnable. Comparing the current situation to the restrictive laws of the British colonial era, she argued that the government is effectively imposing a "gag order." She emphasized that true democratic values require responding to criticism with counter-arguments rather than arrests, asserting that detention should never be used as a solution to political dissent.
