CPI(M) state secretary P. Shanmugam has demanded that police take appropriate legal action against the TVK MLA from Srivaikuntam. He asserted that the law must be applied strictly against anyone, regardless of their political affiliation, who makes sexually derogatory remarks about women.
With the legislative assembly session scheduled to begin tomorrow, Shanmugam emphasized the importance of the opposition leader's role. He further urged the government to conduct the upcoming assembly proceedings with the seriousness the session demands.
