The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has released data on donations received by regional political parties for the 2024-2025 financial year. The DMK leads the list with Rs 365.78 crore, followed by the Trinamool Congress with Rs 184.96 crore and the YSR Congress with Rs 140.04 crore. Other top recipients include the Telugu Desam Party at Rs 83.04 crore, the AIADMK at Rs 66.30 crore, and the Biju Janata Dal at Rs 60 crore. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Jana Sena Party, Janata Dal (United), and the Indian Union Muslim League also ranked among the top ten.
In total, regional parties collected Rs 1,051.556 crore in donations during the 2024-2025 fiscal year, marking a substantial increase from the Rs 347.693 crore reported in 2023-2024. This report excludes donation figures for national parties, such as the BJP and the Congress.
