Tata Consultancy Services has officially denied allegations that it is using software to monitor individual employee activity on company-issued laptops.
The development comes after reports claimed that the monitoring tool could provide visibility into applications accessed on employees’ laptops and the time spent on them. This raised concerns over whether the technology was being used for cybersecurity, network management or monitoring individual work patterns.
TCS has now clarified that the tools are intended for a broader technical purpose and are not designed to surveil employees.
