The Madras High Court has ordered Chief Minister Vijay and Minister Aadav Arjuna to file their responses in election petitions challenging their victories in the Perambur and Tiruchirappalli East constituencies by August 27. The court clarified that no further extensions will be granted to those seeking to dismiss the cases.
Failure to meet this deadline will result in a penalty of Rs 50,000. Emphasizing that election petitions must be resolved within six months, the court issued the directive to both the Chief Minister and the Minister to ensure the timely progression of the legal proceedings.
