MLA Thamimun Ansari has urged for the recognition of both DMK and AIADMK governments for their contributions toward minority welfare. He cautioned that claiming sole credit for these achievements reflects a sense of ingratitude.
In response, Minister C.V.R. Nirmal Kumar described the term 'ungrateful' as inappropriate. Highlighting that Minister Shahjahan had already expressed gratitude during his address, Kumar noted that the IUML had previously withdrawn from the coalition specifically to oppose efforts by the DMK and AIADMK to form a joint government.
