Accounting firm Ernst & Young is investing $100 million in its U.S. division this fiscal year to reward employees for demonstrating human-centric skills. The initiative focuses on incentivizing traits that artificial intelligence cannot replicate, such as adaptability, judgment, and innovation.
Under the new program, employees can receive one-off bonuses starting at $500, while teams or individuals making significant contributions may earn up to $25,000. The firm has removed the previous cap on total awards, allowing any staff member to nominate colleagues for their performance.
Ginnie Carlier, EY Americas’ chief talent and culture officer, stated that the firm is pursuing a sustainable, radical change to ensure employees maintain critical thinking skills. This move coincides with a 30% year-over-year increase in AI-related revenue for the company in 2025.
