The Union government has reduced the mandatory waiting period for booking LPG cylinders in rural areas from 45 days to 25 days. Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Suresh Gopi officially announced the decision, stating that the move is intended to improve convenience for rural consumers.
According to government sources, the new policy is effective immediately. The reduction in the booking interval is designed to ensure that residents in rural regions can access cooking gas refills more quickly.
