Apple has officially entered the foldable smartphone market with the introduction of the iPhone Duo, unveiled during the company's 'Surprise and Shine' event. Powered by the 2nm A20 Pro chipset, the device features a 7.6-inch inner Super Retina XDR display and a 5.4-inch cover screen. The phone supports MagSafe wireless charging, utilizes eSIM technology, and runs on a customized version of iOS 27 designed for enhanced multitasking.
The device is equipped with a dual rear camera system featuring a 48-megapixel main shooter and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens, alongside under-display and cover-display cameras. Apple claims the A20 Pro chip provides significant performance gains over previous generations, while the battery is rated for all-day usage with fast-charging capabilities.
Pre-orders for the iPhone Duo begin on October 16, with retail availability starting October 23. In India, pricing starts at Rs. 2,99,900 for the 256GB model, with configurations available up to 2TB. The smartphone will be offered in Star White and Night Sky color options.
