CPI(M) state secretary P. Shanmugam has strongly condemned recent remarks made by DMK MP A. Raja, describing the recurring trend of DMK leaders disparaging women as intolerable. He further criticized the party's rank and file for cheering such comments, labeling the behavior as unacceptable.
Shanmugam also called for action against Minister Nirmal Kumar, questioning why the DMK leadership remains silent while its members engage in offensive rhetoric. He urged party heads to take disciplinary action against anyone who insults women in public, expressing hope that the DMK leadership will take necessary steps to enforce discipline and restore decorum within their ranks.
