The allegations center on two specific projects: the installation of an Ashoka Pillar statue and landscaping at the Perungalathur Bridge Roundana, valued at Rs 27,30,000, and the installation of a 'Save Water' concept statue and beautification works at the Chitlapakkam Roundana, valued at Rs 18,60,000. Official documents indicate that both tenders were published on August 6, 2026, with a bid opening date of August 24, 2026.
Notably, the records show that the work for the Perungalathur project was listed as completed and inaugurated on July 29, 2026, while the Chitlapakkam project was listed as completed and inaugurated on August 10, 2026. Both completion dates precede the scheduled bid opening date.
