Residents in Pudukkottai town are facing significant difficulties due to a shortage of Aavin milk supplies. Local consumers report that milk packets are currently unavailable in sufficient quantities to meet daily demand.
Aavin regional manager Viruchappadas attributed the supply drop to a decline in milk procurement from farmers, which has fallen from 50,000 liters to 43,000 liters due to factors including drought. He stated that the government has increased procurement prices, and expects milk distribution to normalize within the next ten days, with further growth in both procurement and sales projected for the future.
