English Answer Key and Explanations
T01 — A (அது சரி). The demonstrative pronoun ‘அது’ does not require an added hard consonant before ‘சரி’. T02 — B (எது சிறந்தது?). The interrogative pronoun ‘எது’ does not require a linking hard consonant. T03 — C (தம்பி படித்தான்). This is a subject–predicate (எழுவாய்த் தொடர்) construction; no extra consonant is inserted. T04 — D (அண்ணனோடு போ). The third-case suffix ‘ஓடு’ is explicit; no added consonant is needed. T05 — A (வந்த சிறுவன்). ‘வந்த’ is a relative participle (பெயரெச்சம்), followed by a noun without an inserted consonant. T06 — B (எழுதாத பாடல்). This is a negative relative participle (எதிர்மறைப் பெயரெச்சம்). Compare the distinct shortened form ‘எழுதாப் பாடல்’. T07 — C (பாடம் படித்தான்). This is an implicit second-case construction (இரண்டாம் வேற்றுமைத் தொகை). Compare the explicit form ‘பாடத்தைப் படித்தான்’. T08 — D (இரண்டு புத்தகங்கள்). In this numeral construction, no extra ‘ப்’ is inserted. G09 — A (10 m; 0 m). Total path = 5 + 5 = 10 m; the person returns to the starting point, so displacement is zero. G10 — C (20 m/s). Multiply km/h by 5/18: 72 × 5/18 = 20. G11 — B (3 m/s²). a = (v − u)/t = (25 − 10)/5 = 3. G12 — D (v = u + at). The first equation of motion applies when acceleration is constant in a straight line. G13 — A (direction changes). Velocity includes direction. A changing direction means changing velocity, hence acceleration. A14 — B (₹600). I = PRT/100 = 5000 × 6 × 2/100 = ₹600. A15 — C (5%). R = 100I/(PT) = 100 × 2400/(12000 × 4) = 5%.
