TVEK Leader Vijay has announced significant welfare measures for fishermen. The Fishermen Protection Entitlement Amount will be raised from Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 20,000. Additionally, a Boat Protection Fund of Rs. 5 lakh will be provided to fishermen whose boats are seized, until the vessels are recovered. Under the Kadalthai Housing Scheme, dilapidated residences will be demolished and new houses constructed for fishermen.
