PM Modi Interacts with TN BJP Leaders; Rahul Gandhi Visit Unclear

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to interact with Tamil Nadu BJP executives today. On X, the Prime Minister expressed pride in BJP members for effectively exposing the DMK's alleged poor administration. Meanwhile, uncertainty continues regarding Rahul Gandhi's visit to Tamil Nadu. Girish Chodankar announced that the campaign schedule for national leaders would be released within the next three to four days. DMK President M.K. Stalin, during his Paramakudi campaign, criticized Prime Minister Modi, referring to him as "Vishwagu Modi" and stating that he remains silent on fishermen's issues with Sri Lanka despite being asked to intervene. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman clarified that the central government has not issued any order to halt the incentive for paddy. She further criticized Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's speech, calling it an act of distorting facts. M.K. Stalin also accused Palaniswami of denigrating deceased leaders instead of highlighting achievements. Stalin further alleged that Palaniswami speaks disrespectfully about women. In response to a query, Chief Minister Stalin stated, "I did not say anything that was not in the letter. There is no need to say so." Palaniswami, during his campaign, remarked that while Stalin might be considered the "son-in-law of Sirkazhi," it was the AIADMK that established the Mayiladuthurai district. He humorously referenced a comedy scene from the movie "Padayappa." BJP National President Nitin Nabin, speaking at a Ramanathapuram campaign rally, asserted that the public would deliver appropriate punishment to those who prevented the lighting of lamps on Tirupparankundram hill. In Salem, PMK President Ramadoss experienced a sudden illness during his campaign. He fainted on stage and was subsequently admitted to a hospital. Separately, TVK President Vijay campaigned in Kanyakumari, where he rode a bicycle in Mahathanapuram to solicit votes.
