The International Cricket Council (ICC) today announced the prize money details for the Women's T20 World Cup 2026. The new prize pool for this edition is reportedly 10% higher than the previous tournament.
The Women's T20 World Cup series, which commenced in 2009, is a biennial event. The most recent edition took place in 2024 in the UAE, where New Zealand secured their first World Cup title by defeating South Africa by 32 runs.
For the 2024 tournament, the ICC had allocated a total prize fund of $7.96 million, equivalent to approximately INR 74 crore. Champions New Zealand received $2.34 million, while runners-up South Africa were awarded $1.17 million.
