Usage of Amma Canteens Rises to 104,102 Daily in Chennai

Chennai Corporation announced that daily users of Amma canteens in the city increased from 67,164 to 104,102 after upgrades to the facilities. In a press release, the corporation said it upgraded 383 Amma canteens and, following its guidance and interventions, the number of daily users grew accordingly. The report noted that, with the support of Chennai Corporation, beneficiaries include people from government hospitals, sanitation workers, auto drivers, shop employees and factory workers. After the upgrades, recent attendance figures show 104,102 daily users.
