The central government has invited tenders for the first phase of the Chennai to Bengaluru bullet train project, including construction work and preparation of a new project report.
Officials said the route will cover a distance of 306.2 km from Chennai to Yelahanka in Bengaluru, and the works are planned to be completed by 2035.
