India has achieved a significant milestone in its private space exploration with the successful launch of Vikram-1. This orbital-class rocket, the nation's first developed by a private entity, lifted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.Developed by Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace, Vikram-1 is a three-stage solid-fuel launch vehicle. It incorporates a liquid orbital adjustment module and is engineered to deploy payloads weighing up to 350 kg into a 450-km Low Earth Orbit (LEO) at a 60-degree inclination. This mission marks a substantial advancement for India's rapidly growing private space sector.
