The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully completed the maiden flight test of a new Long-Range Surface-to-Air Missile. The launch took place from the APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the test was conducted against an electronic target designed to simulate a high-speed aerial threat. The mission successfully met its primary objectives during the inaugural flight.
