Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has called for the minimum age to contest parliamentary and legislative assembly elections to be reduced from 25 to 21. He stated that this change is essential to increase the participation of youth in both the government and the public sphere.
To facilitate this, the Chief Minister announced that the Telangana Legislative Assembly will soon pass a resolution urging the Union government to implement the necessary constitutional amendment.
