The Karnataka government continues to refuse the release of water to Tamil Nadu, despite explicit directives from the Cauvery Water Management Authority. The state has maintained its stance even as inflow into its reservoirs has seen a significant increase.
Data indicates that the inflow into the Krishnarajasagar Dam rose from 5,202 cubic feet per second yesterday to 7,058 cubic feet per second today. Despite this surge in water levels, authorities have not yet initiated the release of water to Tamil Nadu.
