Tensions between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka over the sharing of Cauvery river water have intensified as reservoirs in Karnataka reach full capacity. The situation has prompted urgent questions regarding the release of water to downstream Tamil Nadu.
Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar addressed the issue, confirming that the state's dams are currently full. He cautioned that attempting to contain the water could lead to disaster, stating that nature cannot be controlled by anyone and that the water would sweep them away if they tried to hold it back.
