Minister Sengottaiyan has reaffirmed the Tamil Nadu government's firm opposition to the Mekedatu dam project, asserting that the dam cannot be constructed without the state's consent. He emphasized that protecting the interests of delta farmers remains the government's primary objective.
Stating that the state government will put an end to the project, the minister called for collective action on the issue. Additionally, he expressed confidence that the tenure of Chief Minister Vijay will be a golden era for the state.
