Virudhunagar district police have arrested two office-bearers of the Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) for allegedly swindling 3 million rupees. The suspects reportedly promised to secure a contract for the transportation of liquor to TASMAC outlets in exchange for the payment.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Karthikeyan, the party's Aruppukottai West city secretary, and Satishkumar, the South West city secretary. Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
