Water inflow into the Mettur Dam remains steady at 47 cubic feet per second, with the reservoir level currently standing at 73.33 feet. The total water storage has decreased to 35.634 thousand million cubic feet (TMC), while 1,500 cubic feet per second is being discharged to meet drinking water requirements.
Water released from dams in Karnataka is expected to reach Biligundlu, the border of Tamil Nadu, by this evening. Local farmers are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the water to welcome it with floral tributes.
