Water inflow into the Mettur Dam has risen significantly, climbing from 4,923 cubic feet per second to 11,998 cubic feet per second. This surge has brought the dam's water level to 74.01 feet.
The dam currently holds 35.244 thousand million cubic feet (TMC) of water. Authorities are releasing 1,500 cubic feet per second from the reservoir to meet ongoing drinking water requirements.
