Southern Railway has announced the diversion of seven trains operating along the Nellai and Kumari routes due to scheduled engineering works. Consequently, these trains will skip several designated stations during the affected period.
The Sengottai-Mayiladuthurai Express (16848) will be diverted via Manamadurai, Karaikudi, and Tiruchirappalli on August 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 20, and 27. Departing from Sengottai at 6:55 a.m., the train will not stop at Kodaikanal Road, Dindigul, Vadamadurai, Vaiyampatti, or Manapparai.
As an alternative, additional stops have been provided at Manamadurai, Sivaganga, Devakottai Road, Karaikudi, Pudukkottai, and Keeranur.
