Chennai Mayor R. Priya has issued a warning regarding the upcoming Northeast monsoon, cautioning that the city could face more than 50 cm of rainfall during a single spell.
While the Greater Chennai Corporation has launched preparatory efforts to manage the weather event, the Mayor acknowledged that the execution of these works has faced delays.
