United States President Donald Trump announced that all mines in the Strait of Hormuz have been successfully removed or detonated. Citing updates from the American Navy, the President issued a stern warning that any vessels caught placing new mines in the international waterway will face immediate destruction.
Trump stated that American military capabilities, including the Space Force, are actively monitoring the region and key infrastructure. This surveillance includes continuous observation of sensitive locations, such as the underground Iranian nuclear site near Natanz.
These maritime security developments coincide with expanded economic sanctions from Washington aimed at increasing the financial isolation of the Iranian regime. Iranian officials have dismissed the impact of these measures, claiming they have developed a two-year operational plan to counter the sanctions strategy.
