The Tamil Nadu government has issued an order extending the special regularization scheme for free housing site pattas on unobjectionable government land for one year, effective from August 31. Under this initiative, free pattas will be granted based on eligibility to individuals who have resided on such lands for more than five years.
Additionally, the government announced that it will implement a relocation program to provide alternative housing sites for those currently residing on objectionable government lands.
