Former minister Thangam Thennarasu has dismissed as false the reports suggesting that the government denied a request to bury Kamarajar at Marina Beach. Addressing the state assembly, he clarified that such claims are inaccurate.
Thennarasu highlighted that it was M. Karunanidhi who ensured Kamarajar’s body was brought to Rajaji Hall to receive full state honors during his final rites. He further noted that Pazha. Nedumaran had previously clarified that no request was ever made to bury Kamarajar at the Marina.
