Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has raised concerns regarding eight reported deaths in police and jail custody under the current TVK government. He criticized the Chief Minister for failing to issue a statement or offer an apology regarding these incidents.
During his address, Udhayanidhi Stalin also questioned the stance taken by TVK chief Vijay prior to the elections. He further demanded clarity on the specific actions taken by the government to address these custodial death cases.
There have been 550 crimes in the 116 days of this government. 200 murders, 300+ sexual assaults, 8 lock-up deaths, 10 honour killings. A new govt should send out a strong message to the public. Why have so many crimes happened, you should analyse. There are three days for your reply, please come well prepared: LoP Udhayanidhi Stalin
