AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami has accused the ruling party and the opposition of wasting valuable legislative time due to frequent clashes in the Tamil Nadu Assembly. Speaking to reporters, he stated that the assembly, which should be a forum for discussing public issues, has instead become a venue for wasting time over political agendas.
Palaniswami criticized ministers for failing to provide adequate responses to member queries, noting that the Chief Minister’s replies remain superficial. He specifically cited a lack of clarity regarding his questions on police vacancies, cybercrime, and financial fraud. Furthermore, he labeled the current administration as dysfunctional, citing a rise in murders, robberies, and drug-related offenses. He condemned officials responsible for crime prevention for treating these serious incidents with indifference.
