The Food Safety Department has revoked the license of a private canteen operating within the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in Chennai. The decision follows an inspection that revealed food was being prepared under unhygienic conditions.
In addition to the license cancellation, authorities have imposed a fine of 15,000 rupees on the canteen operator. The department has issued a stern warning, stating that further severe action will be taken if the identified health and safety violations are not rectified immediately.
