Sunrisers Hyderabad co-owner Kavya Maran and music composer Anirudh Ravichander are set to marry in November, with high-profile invitations being extended to political leaders across the country. The couple’s wedding reception is scheduled to take place in Chennai on November 21, an event expected to draw significant figures from the worlds of politics, cinema, and cricket.
Sun Group chairman Kalanithi Maran and his wife, Kavery Maran, have personally invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay to the celebration. Kalanithi and Kavery Maran, accompanied by Anirudh’s parents, actor Ravi Raghavendra and Lakshmi Ravichander, met with Prime Minister Modi to extend the invitation. The Maran family also met with Chief Minister Vijay in the presence of Anirudh to deliver a formal invitation.
The Telangana Chief Minister’s Office confirmed the upcoming event through a post on X, noting that the Maran family met with Revanth Reddy at his residence in Jubilee Hills. The official statement read: “Sun Group Chairman Shri Kalanithi Maran and his wife, Smt. Kavery Maran, met Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy at his residence in Jubilee Hills and invited him to the wedding reception of their daughter, Kavya Maran.” The post further clarified that the reception is set for November 21 in Chennai.
While the date for the Chennai reception has been officially confirmed, reports suggesting a wedding ceremony in Greece on November 11 remain unverified by the couple. The announcement follows years of public speculation regarding the pair's relationship. Anirudh had previously addressed such rumors in June 2025, writing on X: “Marriage ah? lol.. Chill out guys. Please stop spreading rumours.”
Kavya Maran is widely recognized as the face of the Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL franchise, while Anirudh Ravichander is a prominent music composer in Indian cinema, recently working on projects including the Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer 2. The confirmation from the Telangana CMO marks the first official acknowledgment of the couple’s upcoming nuptials.
