Kylian Mbappe scored the winning goal from the penalty spot to help France secure a narrow 1-0 win over Paraguay, in their FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 16 match in Philadelphia.
France winger Desire Doue won the decisive penalty, which was only awarded after VAR intervention. Mbappe endured an eventful game, missing a golden chance and also being involved in a couple of bust-ups with Paraguayan players.
