Sahitya Akademi award-winning writer Poomani passed away last night at the age of 79 due to ill health. His body is currently being transported from Chennai to Kovilpatti.
Poomani was renowned for his literary contributions. Notably, his novel "Vekkai" was adapted into the critically acclaimed film "Asuran," directed by Vetrimaaran.
