Gold prices in Chennai saw a significant decline today, with the cost of a sovereign (8 grams) of gold jewelry falling by Rs 1,240 to reach Rs 105,720. The price per gram of gold has also decreased by Rs 155, now retailing at Rs 13,215.
Silver prices followed a similar downward trend in the city. The precious metal is currently trading at Rs 235 per gram, marking a reduction of Rs 5 from its previous rate.
