UN Secretary-General António Guterres spoke at the opening session of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai.
"Artificial intelligence is the greatest opportunity of the 21st century. But it could also become one of the greatest risks," he said.
He added: "Governance of artificial intelligence cannot be kept under the control of a few countries or companies; the benefits of AI must be made available to all countries."
