The Central Government has completely waived excise duty on petrol blended with over 20% ethanol. This exemption specifically applies to petrol containing 22%, 25%, 27%, and 30% ethanol blends.
This move is expected to gradually reduce the price of E30 petrol (30% ethanol blend). Consumers could see a price drop of up to Rs. 11.90 per liter for 30% ethanol blended petrol.
